As a practicing architect, architecture has taught me to notice how light enters a room, how to frame a view with a window, and how a person experiences a space as they move through it. And all of these principles now shape my art practice.

Having grown up Chennai, India, I was always drawing and making things from childhood, and today I live and work in Chicago, where I remain faithful to that practice. With roots in two countries, I enjoy the exploration of the ideas of displacement, threshold and the liminal spaces between objects and events, that holds two places at once. I am drawn to moments of stillness, when the light is doing most of the work and memories weave in the missing pieces.
